Land of Cedar , Bergamot and jasmine noise of licorice, Calabria is surrounded by two seas, the Ionian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea, with the spine consisting of high mountain chains such as Pollino, Sila and Aspromonte .
Characterized by excellent olive production, the land has as distinctive products the red onions of Tropea, the licorice of Rossano, the Zibibbo grape of Pizzo Calabro the Torrone di Bagnara.
The dairy industry specialties are the Caciocavallo silano and the pecorino of the Crotonese, and among the sausages we remember the suppressed and the sausage and, above all, the famous n'duja of Spilinga.
To support and complete all the Calabrian dishes finally stands out the chili pepper, true "King" unquestioned of the strong and intense flavors of southern Italy.

TOURIST CAVES IN CALABRIA
The only tourist caves that can be visited in Calabria are the CAVES OF SANT'ANGELO in Cassano sullo Ionio in the province of Cosenza.
Located inside the Monte San Marco they represent the longest karst system of Calabria, consisting of three cavities joined together by natural tunnels. Traces of human presence have been found in the caves since the Middle Neolithic (4,000 years before the birth of Christ).
The Grotto of Sant'Angelo Inferiore is 1.3 km long, La Grotta superiore 1 km while the smallest (only 233 meters long, not open to visitors) is the Cave above the Caves of Sant'Angelo.
The caves are always visited accompanied by an authorized guide.
